The work is visually inspired by Bulgarian folklore and mythology.
What I am looking for in this work is how we perceive reality, meaning what we trust is real or not, do we really see with our eyes or how does seeing actually happen with eyes “wide” shut. It is I believe when our true self starts to see when we shut our reality seeing eyes.
I had the idea of painting this one night before I fell asleep, some forms and shapes were forming before my eyes and I had the weird sensation there was someone behind me
