The work is inspired by Bulgarian mythology and folklore, more specifically the concept of upper and lower land.
A ram takes you to the lower earth, and an eagle takes you back up to the upper land. The eagles are graphically depicted in the background as a traditional Bulgarian pattern.
The work symbolises the up-down movement and respectively the all repeating cycle of life. This itself is emphasised by the name – “A circle has no end” , which is a quote from Isaac Asimov`s “Second Foundation”. The idea for the work came from one of the most famous Bulgarian folk tales about the golden apple.
