This is the second self-portrait from the Mandala series.
It is a continuation and variation of “Eclipse” as it is again inspired by Pink Floyd`s Dark Side of the Moon. The full album has been a great inspiration for me for years, which has always made me wonder about what is “on the other side” of things, the obscure side of ourselves.
I can relate this to the soul or the energy within us, especially being so deep in the material world. When I do explorations like this I immerse myself in the idea of a vast darkness that is the infinity inside of us. I have used traditional Bulgarian pottery design as a reference with non-traditional colours.
